For those who like to fall asleep cuddling, but hate waking up when their sleeping partner tosses and turns, here is a concept bed.

Take these two bananas as an example. As their shapes suggest, they like to spoon. But they are both very light sleepers. They wake each other up whenever they move - similar to how they go mushy when you throw them in your bag.

Here is how it works: The bananas go to bed cuddling as usual.

After they fall asleep, the bed raises from the center, nudging the bananas to their own sides.

Once they move to their sides of the bed…

…the bed slowly lowers without waking them up…

…and separates the mattresses from each other.

Now the bananas can toss and turn all night long without waking each other up, and have a sound sleep.

In the morning, before their alarm goes off, the bed brings the mattresses back together and lifts from the sides, nudging the sleeping bananas back into the center

And after they get back to spooning, the bed’s edges lower down again.

Finally, the bananas wake up cuddling as if they were never separated.

So, should I patent it?
